Windows convert Live Mail to SSL - how it works

If you switch to Windows Live Mail on SSL to increase the security of Sending and Receiving E-Mails. How to set up the encryption, we will show you here.

Windows convert Live Mail to SSL

SSL you need to set for each of your E-Mails-Accounts individually:
  1. Click the Mail menu bar of Windows Live file. Then you move the mouse pointer over the item "options" and then select "E-Mail accounts".
  2. Double-click the account whose settings you want to edit.
  3. Go to the Advanced tab"". Put in the "Outbox" and "Inbox" are respectively the check mark in "This Server requires a secure connection (SSL)".
  4. Make sure that in each of the input fields the correct server port numbers are listed. Which are in your Account, contact your E-Mail provider.
  5. Confirm with "OK" and close the accounts window.
