Network drives in Windows 7 set up
- Press the key combination [Windows] + [E] to open Windows Explorer.
- Select in the status bar, the entry "map network drive". It opens in a new window.
- Enter the letter of your network drive to receive, as well as the Server address. Alternatively, you can select "Browse" and Computer in the same HomeGroup or workgroup.
- Select below whether the connection should automatically be made and if you want to use other credentials. For example, this is necessary if you want to log on to the network drive with a different user name.
- Click on "finish". A login window you should enter finally, type your user name and the password for the network drive.

Tip: To reduce your Traffic, you can prevent the file thumbs.db on the drive is created.
