Windows Search service management call
- Click on [Start] (older Win-versions) or [Windows key + Q in Windows 8.
- In the input box, enter "services".
- Press [Enter].

- Are you looking for in the window "services (Local)" after the entry "Windows Search".
- Double-click the entry. Then, under "service status" on the Button [Exit]. If you want to prevent that "Windows Search" will not be activated again, perform step 3. You want to make any further Changes, press now the Button [OK].
- Then, under "startup type" on the drop-down box and select the Option "Disabled". Then click on the Button [OK].
