Songs from CD to PC transfer: how to

You want to digitize your music collection, you need to transfer the songs from your CDs to the PC. We will show you how to do it.

The manual refers to the Windows Media Player. Is installed on every Windows System. But you can also use any other program such as iTunes or the VLC Player. The procedure is different however.

  1. You can open the CD drive of your computer, and insert the desired music CD. Under certain circumstances, a program such as iTunes or VLC Player will open automatically. You plug it back in.
  2. Press simultaneously the keys "Windows" and "R", so the command "Run" will open. Enter "wmplayer.exe" and click "OK".
  3. In the left navigation bar of WMP, you will see the title of the CD behind a small CD icon (see image). Click on it.
  4. You will receive a list of all the songs on the CD. Before each title is a box that is already checked is located. You don't want to transfer a title, just remove the hook.
  5. Click above in the menu bar on the Button "copy CD", the songs on your Computer. In the case of a conventional CD, the three-to-ten minutes can take.
  6. The process is finished, you can find the music by clicking the links in the menu bar, click "music". Click with the right mouse button on a song, open the context menu in the "file location", select open. Here you can see where the music is stored and you can move in any folder.
