How to install Windows 8.1
You will lose the Update neither files nor programs. Nevertheless, it can not damage, if you back up your files beforehand. If you are currently using Windows 8, then proceed as follows.
- Open the Windows Store on the tile view.
- There you will see a message that a System Update is available. You click on it.
- While the Update is downloaded, you can use your PC more.
- The Installation starts automatically, if the Update was fully downloaded. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Windows 8.1 DVD install
Alternatively, you can install Windows 8.1 via DVD.
- To do this, insert a DVD with Windows 8.1 in the DVD drive and restart your computer. The installation program should start automatically.
- Follow the instructions in the program. Note that in this case, your hard disk will be completely deleted.
