
What else you can do
If the solutions described above do not work, faulty system files can also be the cause of the problem. To fix this, do the following:
- Open the command prompt with administrator rights .
- Enter the command "dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" and confirm with the [Enter] key.
- The Windows Update will now be reinstalled. If that doesnt help either, use the "sfc /scannow" command afterwards.
- The update should then be able to be installed without any problems.
