"Show Desktop" icon has disappeared
- Open Windows Explorer by pressing simultaneously the keys "Windows" and "E".
- Now navigate to the following path by opening the folders one by one. For Windows XP it is "documents and settings\user name\application data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch". For Windows Vista, you use the path: "C:/Users/"user name"/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/Quick Launch".
- There should now be the file "show Desktop". You pull the bar in your task, is integrated into the command again.
- The file is not present, right-click on an empty area in the folder and select the Option "New" and "text document".
- Enter the command "[Shell] Command=2 iconfile=explorer.exe,3 [Taskbar] Command=toggledesktop" and save the file. Then change the name to "Desktop view.scf" and drag it into the task.
