WinRAR Broken Archive repair and unpack
In this tutorial we use the free program WinRAR. You can also use other Pack Software. If you use other Software you need to proceed differently than in this manual.
- Archive unzip: Open WinRAR and navigate to the path where the archive is located. Do a right-click on the archive and select the context menu Option "extract it to specified folder" (Alt + E). There is a small window in which you can put under the category "miscellaneous" in front of the Option "Broken files" to keep a hook open. Thus, the archive is unpacked completely, even if some files are damaged.
- Archive repair: Alternatively, you can also try to repair the archive. You lead as described above, right-click on the archive and select the Option "repair folder" (Alt + R). Confirm your decision with "OK", tried WinRAR to repair the archive. Then a copy of the file will be in the same path.
