Automatic Update to Windows 8.1, prevent, and hide
In order to prevent the automatic Update to Windows 8.1, follow these steps:
- Disable, first of all, the automatic Update Installation.
- To do this, go into the "control panel" and then to "Windows Update".
- Click on "change settings" and select in the Drop-Down menu, select "check for Updates but to Download and Install manually"set.
- Before you install the Updates, now click on "Windows Update" in the Updates that it finds, first, "...important Updates are available" and remove the check mark for the Updates with the numbers KB3008273 and KB2871389.
- Then click with the right mouse button on the two Updates and select "hide Update".
