Step 1: Software for animated Desktop Background to install
Currently there is only one Software that offers animated Wallpapers for Windows 8. This is a 30-day trial version, which is after the expiry of the time free of charge. On request you can buy the Software for about 7 Euro (with Paypal and credit card).
- Open the website of StarDock.com and click on the Button "Get it now" and then click "Try it Free".
- You will then be redirected to the Download page. You have saved the installation file on your Computer, run it by double-clicking.
- From the select the Installation, all additional offers. To start the program after Installation and choose the variant "Free Trial".
- Then you will be asked for your E-Mail address. Enter these and click on the Button "Next". You open the confirmation Link in the E-Mail and click on the program again on "Next".

Step 2: Animated Desktop Background in Windows 8 set up
- On the left side you can see all the Background-images, Videos, and animations on the program already. For more content you can download for free in the net.
- Select one of the desired animations or Videos, and the bottom right, click on the Button "Apply to my desktop". After a few seconds, the Animation will appear on your Desktop.
- Below the preview you will find the Button "Effects". Here you can edit the Animation with Filters.
- Top right, click on the Gear icon, you can find here a variety of settings. Under the tab "Performance" you can, for instance, reduce the quality or increase. This allows you to fix any stuttering of the image.

- Note: if you Want to start the program again at a later date, just open it with a right click on the Desktop, and the Option "Configure DeskScapes".
