Lock screen from Windows 8, remove group policy
The easiest way is through the so-called "local group policy Editor" that is not, however, delivered in all Win 8 versions.
- Go to the start screen and search for "gpedit.msc". Then a link with the name"gpedit should be found". Click it to open the Editor.
- In the navigation bar on the left side, now navigate to computer configuration > Administrative templates > control panel > personalization.
- More click to view, double-click "lock screen".
- Now select the top left of the "Enabled" box and click "OK". The next time you Start Windows 8 the lock screen is no longer displayed.
- If you want to have the lock screen later on, but back they go exactly the same way, and select the field "Disabled".
Lock screen turn off by user account control
If gpedit.msc is not found, is missing in the Editor for your Windows 8 Installation. In this case, you use the user account control:
- By Win+R to call up the console, where you enter, then type "userpasswords2".
- In the user accounts panel, select the desired User and remove the checkmark from "users must enter a user name and password.
- After clicking on "OK" or "Apply" to enter - for each User individually, in the Password query, the corresponding Login data.
- So should be skipped when restarting for the corresponding User to the lock screen, you are then automatically logged in.
