American keyboard off
To be able to, as usual, with your keyboard, you only need to follow these steps:
- You go through the start menu (Windows icon bottom left) in the "control panel".
- Then, click in the menu under "clock, language and Region" to "keyboards and input methods change".
- Once there, select "change keyboards...".
- In the window "text services and input languages" you will see languages an Overview of the keyboard. The American keyboard is turned off, the "default input language" to "German (Germany)". Additional should be located in the "Installed services", the German keyboard at the top. Now the character set is set back to English.
Keyboard Layout change
Tip: To make sure that you do not turn on the American keyboard by mistake, you can select under "Installed services" and "English (USA)" and "remove". Now the American keyboard layout is completely deleted, and your Computer knows only the German input method.
