DVB-T2: at what cost?
- Already in the spring of 2017, the private broadcasters do not want to send over the old DVB-T in Germany. At the latest towards the end of 2019, the public broadcasters want to switch off DVB-T.
- Since the 31. May 2015 send ARD and ZDF, in some areas of Germany already on DVB-T2. Until 2019, all other stations to follow throughout the country.
- The private broadcasters want to switch rooms at the beginning of 2017, the Signal is mainly in the urban areas. In more remote areas, you can receive DVB-T may be a little longer.

DVB-T2: So are the costs
- The public broadcaster will also continue to collect no additional fee for DVB-T2. The costs will be covered through the licence fee.

- Although the price of 5 Euro is still significantly cheaper than a cable connection, for many viewers the new cost. The days of free TV are over unfortunately.
- The old DVB-T receiver are completely useless. You need either a new Receiver or a new TV with a built-in Receiver. When buying, make sure that the Receiver is explicitly suitable for the reception of German Private channels. The devices are from about 50 euros available.
DVB-T2: What will change?
