Windows 10 Mail: T-Online account - so it goes

With the Mail App in Windows 10, you can manage your T-Online account. The only prerequisite: you need to set up your Account in the E-Mail program.

Step 1: T-Online account for Windows prepare 10 Mail

Unlike most Mail-providers, you can connect your T-Online account directly with third-party programs, such as the Mail App in Windows 10. Instead, you must first set a separate password.
  1. Login to the T-Online website in your E-Mail account.
  2. In the Mail Center, click "menu" on the entry "settings".
  3. Then, you set the "passwords" E-Mail password. This can match either with your normal password, or a different state of being.
  4. Save your Changes and close the Browser.

Step 2: Windows 10 Mail T-Online set up

You have set up a separate e-Mail password at T-Online, you can make the setup in Windows 10.
  1. To do this, click on the bottom left on the Windows icon and start the application "Mail".
  2. If you already have a Outlook account logged in, then the corresponding T-Online account as shown here. Click on it, the setup is complete already. This is not the case, click on "add account".
  3. In the selection menu, choose the entry "Other account".
  4. Now enter your E-Mail address, as well as your previously established password, and then click on the "Log in".
  5. In the new window add your name, your messages are to be sent. To complete the operation on "Sign up" and "Done".

  • Outgoing mail server: securesmtp.t-online.de:587:1
  • Outgoing server requires authentication: By hook enabled.
  • Same user name and password to Send E-Mail use: By hook enabled.
  • SSL for incoming E-mail required: By hook enabled.
  • SSL for outgoing E-mail required: By hook enabled.
