Win 8: ribbon menu in Windows Explorer, open view
On Windows 8 also Windows Explorer is equipped with the ribbon, which is displayed by default initially, but via the arrow icon, or [Ctrl]+[F1] at any time, and the show leaves out. Ribbon-configure behaviour via Registry
