Spotify Web Helper - what is it?
- Install Spotify on your Computer, the Web Helper installed. This is always active in the Background, even if Spotify is not started.
- The Web Helper helps other applications, Spotify to start. A website refers for example to a Song on Spotify, the Web Helper detects this and does not start the Song in the Browser, but opens for you automatically Spotify.
- This function is useful, but is rarely used. In addition, the service is always working in the Background. Whether you should remove the Web Helper, we can tell you in the next paragraph.

Spotify Web Helper disable instead of delete
- The Web Helper is an integral part of Spotify and you can simply delete it from the program. You can provide the Start-up of the Web Helpers, however.
- The Web Helper is prevented at the Start, so it has no impact on Spotify. The program can then be used just not by the Browser from the start. In General, this function is used, but barely.
- Open the Taskmanager and switch up to the "startup" tab. Look for the entry "Spotify webhelper" and the bottom right, click on the Button "Disable" (see image). The next time you Start Windows, the Web Helper is not loaded.
