New Kernel Updates will include mostly a large number of new drivers that make your System more stable. How you perform under Ubuntu is a Kernel Update, we will show you in this practical tip.

Ubuntu:: Kernel Update

A Kernel Update is done under Ubuntu, thanks to its simple package management with two commands:
  1. Click with the right mouse button on the Desktop and select "Terminal open".
  2. Now enter "sudo apt-get update" to update the package lists.
  3. After the command is finished, you will need to enter "sudo apt-get upgrade".
  4. Now all installed packages are updated to the latest version. If a Kernel Update is available for your System, it is installed automatically.
  5. After a successful Kernel will be prompted to Update you, finally, to restart your System.
