Ubuntu: how to install KeePassX

Under Ubuntu you need the Open Source Version is KeePassX. Originally, this was called Software for Linux KeePass/L. KeePassX is a Linux, Mac OS and Windows compatible.
  1. Start under Ubuntu , the Terminal with the key combination [CTRL] + [ALT] + [T].
  2. Enter this command in Terminal: "sudo apt-get install keepassx".
  3. While KeyPassX is installed, you will be prompted to enter your password. In addition, you must confirm the action with [J].
  4. In the application menu under "accessories - > KeePassX" an entry. You want to configure individual parts of the program, you can do this under "Tools > settings".
  5. The configuration is under the path ~/.config/keepassx/keepassx2.ini is stored.
