Option 1: Flash Player with Chrome in Ubuntu use

  • Google's Chrome Browser comes from the house with a set-up and functioning of the Flash Player.
  • Therefore, this solution is particularly convenient: you only need to Chrome Ubuntu install.
  • If you start Chrome from privacy - don't want to use, you need to install the Flash Player manually, to use it with a free Browser such as Firefox. Refer to the next section.

Option 2: Flash Player on Ubuntu, install and update

  • Classic Flash: in Ubuntu you have to install the Flash Player simply by typing in a Terminal window (Ctrl+Alt+T) type the command "sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer" and with the Enter key and your password to confirm.
  • New Flash in test phase: does not Work with the normal (and outdated) Flash Player Version properly, you can also install the new Version. Since this is still in the Beta Phase, however, it can lead to problems. You install them via Terminal with "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8 && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install fresh player plugin-pepper flash plugin-nonfree".
Note: Flash is gradually being replaced, which is why it is getting worse is supported. Instead, HTML5 is the future. We have for you Flash with HTML5 compared.
