The contacts from the Thunderbird address book export
- Call first Thunderbird your address book on.
- In the menu of the address book, select the Option "Extra" and then choose in the drop-down list for "Export".
- Finally, you provide the created contact file with a unique name and save your contacts as LDIF file.
- The file with your Thunderbird contacts, you will find in the previously selected folder.

You want to insert your contacts, then on another computer in the address book of the Email client Thunderbird, you should proceed the same as before when Exporting your contacts.
- The only difference is that now you can decide "Extra" for the "Import" Option.
- After you have imported the contact file, to appear in your Thunderbird address book to a new folder with the name that you get when you Export have assigned. In it, you should be able to find all of your contacts.
- Tip: if you Want to make someone just a few contacts from your address book file is available, proceed as previously described. Then, edit the new contact file accordingly, before exporting them again, and then pass on.
