Skype error-how to fix: Error Code 2738
The exact wording of the error message is: "The installer has encounected an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2738."
- Simultaneously press the Windows key and "R", so the command "Run" will open.
- Enter "cmd" into the box and confirm with "OK". Then the black Windows console launches.
- Enter the command "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" and confirm with the Enter key. You will then receive a message that the Operation has been executed successfully.
- Now enter the command "regsvr32 jscript.dll" and confirm again with the Enter key.
- Restart your Computer and install Skype in the current Version again.
- Note: if the error persists, we suggest you to reset Internet Explorer.
