To Mirror objects in SketchUp, unfortunately, no command. Here we show you how to make a small detour anyway.

SketchUp: objects in mirrors - so it works

  1. Select the object to be mirrored and you copy it with edit > find.
  2. Then select the "Scale"tool. With the scroll wheel of the mouse to rotate the object in a convenient view, so you can grasp the middle handle on the outer edge.
  3. Drag this handle to the object in the other direction, i.e., in the, in the you want to mirror. Because the object is likely to be biased slightly on, press on and, while holding the handle, the [Shift] key. As a result, the object will be scaled proportionally.
  4. Now you have to play a little until you get the right size. At the end of the value should appear to be "-1". So, you can release the mouse button and the [Shift] key.
  5. Go to edit in the menu > At this point insert is inserted, the originally copied object at its old Position again. You can see the output object and its reflected image.
