3D Text with Photoshop - so it works always
For our Tutorial we will use Photoshop CS2.
- Create in Photoshop a new file. The image should not be too small - a 3D-Text can be slightly larger in order to act. The background color is not relevant here.
- You write next your Text on the first level. A fat, big and simple Font is best. The font color you can select according to your taste.
- Now copy this layer and you can colour the font in the color that you want to have the 3D effect later. In our example we have chosen Black.
- You have the layers-copy-edited in color, select from the tool bar for the Move tool. Move the layer with the arrow keys on your keyboard once to the top and once to the right.
- From this level, you create a copy. The newly copied layer, you move with the arrow keys, once up and once to the right.
- Repeat step 5 until the desired depth of the 3D effect is achieved. In our example, we have created ten levels-copies and moved.
- In the last step, move the first level - the one with the colored font to the top of the layer view. So quick and easy to create with older versions of Photoshop 3D Text.
