So you don't lose your presentation of the thread, you can insert invisible notes in your OpenOffice presentation. In addition, your hands are not tied, therefore, to index cards and you can keep the lecture free.

Hide notes in an OpenOffice presentation

  1. Open your presentation with OpenOffice Impress.
  2. Select the "view" tab.
  3. In the context menu click on the sub-item "notes".
  4. Under your presentation, you will see a new field. Here you can insert your notes.
  5. As soon as you start the presentation, hide the notes, and are thus hidden for your viewers.
  6. In order to use your notes during the lecture, you need the Extension "Presenter Console".
