Open Office: How do I add a Video in Impress?

In the case of an OpenOffice Impress presentation, it is often helpful to the presentation with a Video to underline. To do this, you do not need to leave presentation, but not necessarily, because Impress supports the insertion of video directly into a slide. When you call the corresponding page, then starts the Video automatically.

A Video is easy using the insert menu:
  1. Select in the menu "Insert" and then "movie and sound bar".
  2. Locate the desired Video, select it and click "Open". A placeholder for your Video to appear on the current slide.
  3. Zoom in or zoom Out the Video to your liking at the four corners and edges of the rectangle, as you are used to from photos. The Video is larger than the foil, it is displayed in the screen presentation completely.

Note: Keep your presentation on another PC, it is advised the Video and the portable VLC Media Player is to bring in an external storage device. It is possible that the Video can't be played on a PC, if the Format is not supported. The portable VLC Media Player there are here.
