Open Office Calc: inserting a line break

The content of a table cell is too long to be running this on this border of the cell and beyond. To prevent this, you can insert a line break. As you paste in Open Office Calc such a line break, we will explain here.

The automatic line-break in Open Office Calc to enable

Automatic line wrapping is enabled, the Cursor jumps to the edge of the cell automatically to the next line. To activate this, proceed as follows:
  1. Select the appropriate cell(s) and right click.
  2. Select 'format' then 'cells'.
  3. Now click on the tab "alignment".
  4. Set the checkmark at "Automatic line break" and click OK to apply the Changes

A manual line break in Open Office Calc insert

The automatic line break switches, the line at the edge of the cell. A line break manually insert, you must do the following:
  • Put the Cursor at the point at which the line break should happen
  • Press the Ctrl and enter keys to insert a line break
