To force a space in LaTex

In just a few steps, you can force a space in LaTex. We show you different possibilities and variations.
  1. You can write it directly behind the desired number, a Backslash, and then press the spacebar. The space character has been inserted in the Overview.
  2. If you characters want a short blank, write them directly after the Backslash, a semicolon, a comma or a colon.
  3. For four spaces, you write it directly behind the Backslash "quad" and eight blank characters "qquad". Be sure to omit the quotation marks.
  4. You want to specify the space character itself, write "hspace*{}" without the quotation marks and add between the curly brackets the desired distance, for example 0.3 cm.
