Instructions for the Assembly of hard disk drives
Many computers have only one or two hard drives. Which in turn are divided into multiple partitions. Strictly speaking, partitions, and no disks are joined together.
- Under Windows, only partitions, you can merge in disk management, right next to each other. This is not the case, you need to resolve before the partitions in between.
- Partitions can also be only from the left to the right extend. In General, the larger partitions are already on the left side.
- Two hard drives together, must be deleted the second hard drive. Therefore, you should move the data to the second disk on the first or on an external storage device.

A Partition is not a disk
Step 1: hard disk delete Windows
In the following instructions, the Computer has two partitions, "C:" and "D:". Due to the ranking of the Partition D is deleted and added to the C Partition.
- Simultaneously press the keys [Windows] and [X], so that the bottom left the context menu opens.
- Here you can select the "disk management" and click on the desired hard drive.
- Click with the right mouse button on the D Partition and select "delete Volume".
- Confirm with "Yes" and then select the Option "delete Partition".
- Confirm the operation again, removed the D Partition. Partition C can now be the memory of Partition D extends.

Step 2: hard drive partitions under Windows together
- Click with the right mouse button on the C Partition and select "extend Volume".
- Click on "More" and select, if necessary, the newly freed memory space.
- Click again on "Next" and "Finish", it will increase the C Partition.
- Your two hard disk partitions have been joined together successfully.
