Conflicts between Chrome and other Software
First, check whether your Browser is in a conflict with another program.
- Type in the address URL bar of Chrome: chrome://conflicts. Here Chrome lists all of its main processes.
- If there is a conflict, is highlighted in the affected Software. In most cases, it is malware that you can remove with an antivirus program.

Broken user profile brings Google Chrome to crash
Another reason the Browser crashes can also be your broken Chrome user profile.
- Before you create a new user profile, you should use your old back up. To do this, navigate to the location of your user data by typing in the Windows Explorer to the following path in the address bar: %LOCALAPPDATA%/Google/Chrome/User Data/.
- Rename the folder "Default" to "backup" or "Backup" and start Google Chrome. The Browser automatically creates a new "Default"user profile.
- The Problem should be fixed now, you need to import your data. You will have to copy the file "boot marks.bak" from the folder "backup" or "Backup" to the new folder "Default". Then rename the file to "Bookmarks".
