With FileZilla SFTP connect to the Server
In order to make a SFTP connection, it must be granted SSH access to your Server. Most providers have enabled the feature by default.
- Start FileZilla on your Computer.
- At the top left in the ribbon menu of the "server Manager".
- Here, click on "New Server".
- Now you can enter the data of your server. A SFTP address has usually presented the name "sftp". So the address could be, for example, "sftp.meinserver.com".
- Enter the Port number "22". This is the default port for SSH Connections.
- The item "Protocol:" choose "SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol".
- After you have entered your user name and password, you can log in via "Connect" on the Server.
