AutoCAD: decimal set - so it goes

With the drawing program AutoCAD, you can create complex drawings, and dimensioning. How you can set your dimensions in AutoCAD decimal places, we explain to you in this article.

Decimals in AutoCAD setting

With the vector-based drawing program, AutoCAD allows you to your technical drawings dimensioning. So ask for your dimension, the number of decimal places individually:
  1. Start AutoCAD and open the drawing.
  2. Then type with the keyboard in the lower command bar the command "Dimstyle" or "dimension style". It is a new window with the title "dimension Manager" will open (see image).
  3. Click on the Button "Change". Now a window will open again.
  4. Under the tab "primary units" you can set in the "accuracy" of the number of decimal places for the dimension set.
  5. Save settings finally click "Ok".
