Arrow insert in InDesign via the keyboard
The easiest way to insert an arrow in InDesign using a Font with an arrow: Select the Font to, for example, "Wingdings 3", since these arrows contains in different directions.

Now, to insert an arrow, press the corresponding key on your keyboard:
- The arrow with arrowhead on the left: ^
- The arrow with arrowhead on the right: a
- Arrow with a broken line with an arrow tip on the left: 3
- Arrow with a broken line with an arrow tip on the right: 4
- Arrow, a thin arrow tip to the left: f
