Magic Lantern - the Installation
Magic Lantern is free, and freely accessible, however, there is no warranty. For damage caused to your camera or accessories by the Software, we or the manufacturer of Magic Lantern have no liability. So far, no case of damage is known.
- Look first, whether your camera is already supported by the Software is.
- Then you can Magic Lantern download and using WinRar unzip.
- Now connect the SD card of the camera to the Computer and drag all of the unzipped files to the memory card.
- With an inserted SD-card, now start your DSLR.
- Go to the menu and locate the function "Firmware update" or "Firmware Vers. x. x".
- Now you can update the Firmware. As a result, the boat will start and installation procedure of the Magic Lantern. Wait until a black window with Green font is visible on the screen.
- Finally, turn off your camera and activate it again to Magic Lantern.
