Concentration please – with just a few clicks, extracts from Word documents to save
Just selected pages, copy and paste into a new blank document paste does not work in most Word documents, unfortunately. It will go in this action, the page layout and format templates, lost ordered. To avoid this, proceed as follows:
- First, save for the security of your file via "file" → "Save as" under a new name, for example datei-kopie.docx
- Then go to the page (or pages) that you want to save individually. Select the content of this page(n). The quickest way is by clicking with pressing the Shift key with the left mouse button at the beginning and end of the selected text neck
- Copy [Ctrl + C] the text snippet in the clipboard.
- Now mark the whole Text with [Ctrl + A] and delete the entire content with a click on [Delete]. You now have a blank page but with any headers or footers, as well as the print format template for your file still exists.
- Now paste the contents of the clipboard with [Ctrl + V] and save the desired page (or pages) under a new name, for example datei-seite7.docx .
Faster - single page from Word document save as PDF
If you do not want to edit the single pages saved, you can save them as a PDF file:
- First, click on the menu item "file" and then click "Save as ". Select the location where the new file should be saved.
- Enter in the box provided the name of the file, and select in the drop-down menu "file type" select PDF.
- It is a new window in which you click on the "options" will open.
- In a new window you can then select under "page range", which pages are to be stored, for example, only pages 3-5. Confirm your entry with "OK".
- The settings window is closed and in the dialog window "Save as" you just have to click on "Save". You will find at the specified location in a PDF-file with one or more pages from your original file.

Save single page as a PDF
This practical tip is based on Word 2013, but in the immediate previous versions (2010, 2007) as executable. Working with Word, however, is much faster, if you are working with format templates. Instructions for this can be found in the practice tip "their Own styles create - so klappts"
