OneNote: how to export your notes

With Microsoft Office OneNote you can easily create and clear notes. The following also to export, for example, as a PDF document. How this works, we show you in our practical tip.

OneNote Entire notebooks or single pages export

Up to the Version of OneNote 2013, you can choose which area of your notes you want to backup:
  1. First, open in OneNote, a page that you want to export.
  2. Now click top left on "file" and in the violet-shaded menu bar, click "Export".
  3. You choose whether you want to save the individual page, section or the entire notebook.
  4. You then specify the Format in which the Export is to take place. This can be, for example, a Word file or a PDF document.
  5. In the last step, click "Export" and select the desired memory space on your hard drive.

OneNote 2016: Single page export

In the current Version of OneNote 2016, and Microsoft has the Export options limited. Thus, a larger focus should be on the Free and share the notebooks are placed. Nevertheless, you can continue to export individual pages as PDF. For instance, if a colleague of yours has no access to OneNote.
  1. To do this, open the appropriate page and click on "file" > "save As PDF".
  2. To enter the desired memory location and confirm with "Save".
