Nonbreaking space in Word to create

A Nonbreaking space you need, if you want to prevent, that Microsoft Word is a word at the end of a line. It is a good idea, the protected use spaces in names or titles. Even if you write the Text in the block, some words, a non-breaking space is useful. Otherwise, the distances between the individual words may be too big. In this tip you will learn how you will set the protected spaces.

The protected blank spaces in Word

There are two variants available to the protected set space:
  • Put the Cursor at the desired location in your Word document. Simultaneously press the buttons: "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "spacebar".
  • Alternatively, press and hold the alt key down and type on the numeric pad of your keyboard "0160".
  • The protected is the space character, with a small circle°.
