You only use a few functions in Word, you can create your own menu, in order to consolidate this on a tab. We will show you how to do that.

Step 1: open settings and menu in Word to create

In the Following, we will explain how you can create in Word, both a new tab, as well as individual groups and tools, in this embed:
  1. Open Word and click on the top left on "file". On the left, select the bottom of the "options" so that it opens a new window.
  2. In the Word options on the left, select the "customize ribbon" (see image).
  3. You see there are two columns. In the right you will find all the tabs. Click on the Button "New tab", it will create a such. It also includes a new group.
  4. Select the tab, and then click on the Button "Rename". Here, you can assign it a name. Repeat the procedure also for the new group.
  5. The basic structure of the menu is now finished. In the next paragraph we will explain how to integrate individual tools to the menu.

Step 2: the commands and tools into your own Word-menu

  1. Select the Tools that will be displayed in the menu. You will find in the left column. On the column, you can narrow the search by selecting, for example, the point "frequently used commands" or commands from the "main tabs" on the display.
  2. You have found the right Tool, first click in the right column on the group, then in the left column to the command, and then in the middle on the "Add" Button (see image).
  3. The Tool will then be used in your tab in the first group. Add in the same way all of the commands and Tools that you want to have in their own menu.
  4. Within the group, you can move individual functions Drag-and-Drop to move it up or down. So you can create your menu individually.
  5. Finally, click on the Button "OK" to save your own menu.
