Insert a picture transparent in Word
In Word 2010, it is not possible to make images transparent. The easiest way is to create a rectangle and set the image as fill, insert:
- Click on the "Insert" tab and select "forms" is the "rectangle".
- Insert the rectangle at the point you want to have the image.
- Right-click on the rectangle and "format shape" allows you to customize the graphics.
- In the menu item "fill," select "picture or texture fill" and add the desired image.
- With the slider (see image) will vary the transparency of the image.

The instructions refer to Microsoft Word 2010. In other versions of Word, the menu can differ in structure.
