Excel: unprotect sheet

You have received an Excel file with a sheet protector, you can edit the page only if you cancel the protection. We will show you how to do it.

Sheet protection in Excel documents cancel

The blade guard can only be unlocked if you know the password for the protection. The file should not come from you, you need to ask first for the password.
  1. You can open the protected file, and change the above to the tab "Check".
  2. Under the category of "Changes" you will now see the Button "sheet of cancel protection".
  3. Enter the password and confirm your input with "OK". If you do not know the password, explain how in our Video, what you can do.
  4. Then we lifted the protection, and you will be able to edit the sheet. Via the Button "protect sheet", you can reactivate it again.
