You can enter in Excel, an automatic date that is constantly updated. We will show you with this practice tip, how to do it.

You will receive an automatically the current date in Excel

It is easiest if you insert the constantly-updating date in the header. We will show you how it works for Microsoft Excel 2007. In other Excel-versions work like this but similar.
  1. Click in the upper pane, click "Insert" and then on "header and footer".
  2. Then select "current date". Please also refer to the Screenshot.
  3. You are done, simply click in the document. The current date of today is displayed.
  4. You can close the document now and edit it the next day, more, updated, the date of the alone. You will see in this Excel document is always the current date.
