  1. Set the Font to "Times New Roman".
  2. You write then for example "V", you get the Roman five.

Formula makes from Arabic to Roman Numbers

If you do not know the correct spelling for a Roman number, Excel can help you. With a formula to convert any decimal number to a Roman.
  1. Select any cell and enter the following command: =Roman(xxx)
  2. An example: Type the command: =Roman(456), you will then receive automatically the Roman way of writing "CDLVI".
