The downwards arrow is one of the symbols that you need once in a while. However, you will not find him at first glance. As you insert it, read this tip:

Arrow enter down by Old Code

If you have a keyboard with a numeric keypad, you can enter the arrow simply using the Old Code. Press and hold the [Alt] key and type in "25" on the numeric keypad. When you release the Alt key, the arrow down to the place where the Cursor is placed. This method works everywhere, not just in Microsoft Office.

The down arrow without the point block insert

You write, for example, on a Laptop, where you have no number pad available, it will not work with the Old Code. With a Trick it works nevertheless: tap "2193" to the place where the arrow want to have. Highlight the number and press the key combination [Alt]+[C]. This converts a Code into the appropriate Unicode character. But that only works in the Office. Elsewhere you need to the arrow in the character table search and copy.
Tip: The Codes for the other arrows are as follows: Alt+24 and 2191 (above), Alt+26 and 2192 (to the right) and Alt+27 or 2190 (left).
