In Mac OS X Yosemite to send large attachments via e-Mail.
With Mail in Yosemite, you can now send much larger attachments than in the past. With this solution, the memory limitation of some Mail-providers handle them easily:
- Add it to your Mail as usual annexes. These are not, however, limited to about 35 MB, but may be up to 5 GB in size.
- If you use the first Time large attachments, you will be asked if you want to use Mail Drop.
- To be able to Mail Drop, you must be in iCloud logged in.
- If the recipient of your Mail uses Mail in Yosemite, he sees the attachments as usual.
- All other users of the App, or another Mail program, get a Link that you can then download the files.
