Mac: Dropbox does not start - Possible causes

If the Dropbox is working after a manual Start from the program folder, simply add them again to the Login items of your OS X account.
  1. You go into the system settings and click on "users & groups".
  2. Locate on the left of your current user and select him.
  3. Now click right on the "login items". Here you will find all the programs that are started automatically during the boot process.
  4. If the Dropbox is still running and remove them with the Minus Symbol. Then you out click on the Plus icon and look in the program folder, the Dropbox icon.
  5. Now confirm with "OK" and the Dropbox starts again automatically.

  1. Open the Finder, go to the folder "programs" and then locate the Dropbox icon. Delete, insert it with right-click > In the trash.
