ASCII Banner in the Mac Terminal to create

The developers of MacOS I have installed a small-to-ASCII-function in the Terminal. This allows you to easily and quickly start using the Terminal:
  1. Open Your Terminal Application. These you can find, for example, via the Spotlight search.
  2. The command "banner", you can now access the function.
  3. Possible variables to the desired Text message, and the width (w) of the text.
  4. For example, the command "banner-w 40 praxistipps.chip.de would" generate an ASCII Banner with the lettering "praxistipps.chip.de" in the width 40. The Banner can then copy, and in another document to save.
