Rain jacket washing - what to consider
A good rain jacket fulfills several functions. It is waterproof, but breathable. In the best case, the rain jacket will keep you warm.
- In order for these functions will not be lost in the wash of a rain jacket, you should also be aware of the care instructions of the jacket.
- Of coarse dirt you can remove with a brush. You wash your rain jacket in the machine, this should happen at 30, or a maximum of 40 degrees.
- They dispense with the cleaning at normal detergent. Instead, use a special detergent for Outdoor clothing.
- Fabric softener do not use in rain jackets. Make sure that the garment is then rinsed well. There are no detergent residues in the fabric.
- To Dry, hang the rain jacket on a hanger and let dry in the open air. The jacket is well-dried, you must reactivate the impregnation. For this purpose, two ways are open to you.
- Either you iron the garment without any steam, and on the lowest level. Alternatively, you give the rain jacket on for half an hour in the dryer. Be sure to place it as low as possible temperature.
