Lock SIM card - how to

Have you lost your phone or it is stolen, you should immediately bar your SIM card from the network operator. We will show you in this tutorial how this works.

To lock your SIM card

  • The SIM card must be locked after the loss of the respective provider. This works either by telephone or via the Internet.
  • To lock the SIM card by telephone, you must identify yourself on the phone. To do this you need depending on the provider, other information. Keep your contractual documentation.

  • Vodafone: To the blocking in the case of Vodafone you will need your customer password. Customers with fixed-term contract dial the phone number +49 172 12 12, CallYa customers +49 172 229 0 229.
  • Telekom: Here you need to block the card number to your SIM card. The Hotline can be reached under 0800 3 302202. Also possible is the lock about the Online access.
  • O2: The Hotline can be reached under the 0176 888 55 282. Online you can find the function in My O2.
  • E-Plus: E-Plus, the service is offered, apparently, only by calling a Hotline. Contract customers select 0049 177-177-1000, business customers 0049 177-177-1010 and Prepaid customers 0049 177-177-1150.
  • Base: To block your Base SIM, you need to only the Online access log in. There can under "My SIM card" on the block.
