British Airways: What is the wifi costs on Board?
- The availability of Wi-Fi on flights by British Airways, is severely restricted. Only on flights between London and New York, the Service will be offered continuously in Business Class.
- British Airways has been working for several years on a Wi-Fi access for all passengers. This is since 2017, the first aircraft available. You can find further information in the next paragraph.
- The cost for the Wi-Fi on long-haul flights between London and New York, however, the Airline. British Airways only allows access to the Internet. The costs are directly driven by the respective mobile provider. Thus, you pay up to 10 Euro per MB in the plane.
- Also, the speed of the WLAN is above the clouds, not very inspiring. There is only GPRS. In order for a connection to the Internet, you need an international Roaming agreement with your mobile service provider. This is usually not a default and must be requested. To do this, you need to contact your provider.

British Airways: Wi-Fi for First-, Business - and Economy-Class
- In the year 2017, British Airways wants to equip the first aircraft with a private Wi-Fi for all passengers. The plane arrived, you can connect to the Wi-Fi, and there is one of the available pricing models select. Is paid by credit card.
- One hour wifi costs you 4,99 UK pounds (about € 5.60). For 4 hours you pay 10,99 pounds, for the complete flight 14,99 pounds. Facebook, WhatsApp, Mails and Instagram are not a Problem.
- You want to have access to Video services like YouTube or Netflix, you need to select a higher speed. For an hour you have to pay 7,99 pounds for 4 hours 17,99 pounds, and for the complete flight 23,99 pounds.
