WD My Cloud: to turn off the indexing
- First go to the "settings" of the NAS is to SSH to activate.
- Connect with a SSH client, such as Putty, with the NAS.
- Log on with your user data when prompted.
- First, enter the following two commands and confirm with [Enter]: "/etc/init.d/wdmcserverd stop", as well as "/etc/init.d/wdphotodbmergerd stop"
- You wait for the Server to which commands are processed, and then enter these commands: "update-rc.d wdphotodbmergerd disable" "update-rc.d wdmcserverd disable"
- After entering you can close the SSH connection and the Server via the menu and restart. Thereafter, the automatic indexing is turned off successfully.
