Unitymedia Hotspots abroad: how to log in
To be able to the Unitymedia Hotspots abroad, two conditions have to be met:
- You need to a customer of Unitymedia be.
- Also, you need to enable on your own Router at home, to the Unitymedia wifi spot. In order to make your Wi-Fi for other - and of course, secure and anonymous. How to do this, we show in the next paragraph.
Unitymedia: Hotspot abroad - preparation
To be able to the Unitymedia Hotspot abroad, you need personal access data. This can be obtained only if you provide your own Router as a wifi spot available:
- Open as the First of the Unitymedia website and log in to the customer center.
- Then select "My products" and then "Internet".
- At the very bottom, find the section "Wi-Fi spot settings". There, turn on the "wifi spot" Status of the Hotspot.
- Now you can see also your user name (consisting of the combination of "Unitymedia/your e-mail address"). You only have to choose a password.
- With the combination of user name and password you can log in abroad in the Hotspots of Unitymedia.

The Unitymedia networks are abroad, not so easy to. Because, in contrast to the Unitymedia network in Germany, you will not usually contain the term "Unitymedia" in the name. Here you will find the official list of Wi-Fi networks of Unitymedia. There you can log in with your user name and password:
- Germany: Unitymedia Public Hotspot and Unitymedia wifi spot
- Netherlands: Ziggo
- Belgium: TelenetWiFree
- Switzerland: UPC Wi-Free
- Hungary: UPC Wi-Free
- Czech Republic: UPC Wi-Free
- Romania: UPC Wi-Free
- Poland: UPC Wi-Free
- Slovakia: UPC Wi-Free
- Ireland: UPC Wi-Free
- Austria: UPC Wi-Free
